This marks the beginning of something that I have dreamed of since I was little– studying abroad. After eight-year-old me became fascinated with Germany, I always knew that I wanted to return. When I started college, I knew studying a language was important to me, and German seemed a perfect fit. It is challenging and most days I feel that I am fighting my brain to remember all the nuances of the language. However, there are days when I know that I have made the right decision. Sitting in Lüneburg, Germany at my desk as I write this post… I know that I made the right decision.
I have decided to challenge myself to complete a goal that has been on my list for many years… keeping and maintaining a blog. This goal is by no means extravagant… I simply want to share with others the moments that encourage and inspire my life. I have hesitated to call this a travel blog because I dream of keeping it up when I return to the States. Rather, this will hopefully function as a way to document my experiences as I grow and progress as a writer, photographer, and individual. I have chosen to begin this blog at this time because studying abroad is also a dream, a goal, and an adventure all rolled into one — so what better place to begin?
